Elsa Inspired Crochet Hat

Of course everyone knows no Disney tribute would ever be complete without one of Mickey’s favorite princesses….

This week we are featuring the chillest princess on the scene with this Elsa inspired crochet hat.

As with most young girls, when the movie “Frozen” was released my granddaughter was completely hooked after the first viewing. While she loved all the characters human and not so human, she was especially drawn to the beautifully emerged, snow white haired, ice princess Elsa.

So naturally it’s only fitting that she be my beautiful hat model right? 😉 She has watched this movie more than all movies combined in her lifetime. I’m sure that even at her young age she could lip sync the entire thing. And sing!! Once again as with so many young girls, ‘Let it go” became her theme song. And the most hated song of her older sisters if you know what I mean.

About the pattern:

This gorgeous pattern was designed by the very talented Lilia of Mango Tree Crafts. The pattern instructions are written quite well and easy to follow. She has included several well placed photographs which makes this a great pattern for new crocheters as well. I did choose to make my braid quite long just for fun, but the pattern allows for quite a long braid using its measurements the way written. The hat shown is size 3-6 yrs which is just a little snug on my 7yr old granddaughter. This proving the pattern sizing is right on and trustable. The pattern is available in sizes 0 months – Adult so there’s a hat for all needs here. 🙂

Thank you. I especially love this color of blue as well. Was thinking of making some adult sized beanies in this same hat. Minus the braid of course. 🙂
